Cooking Through Columbus

Cooking Through Columbus is a large-scale culinary storytelling project I created to document
and celebrate the restaurants, chefs, and food culture that define Columbus, Ohio.

I worked directly with more than 75 restaurants, bars, bakeries, food trucks, and food brands across the city,
capturing their stories, signature recipes, and the people behind the scenes who make it happen.

As the project’s writer, photographer, and creative lead, I produced the photography and editorial storytelling
that ultimately became a 260+ page cookbook featuring more than 80 recipes and original restaurant profiles.

The goal was to create something deeper than a typical cookbook.

I wanted it to serve as a snapshot of Columbus’ culinary culture and the chefs and operators who shape it every day.

The project brought together chefs, restaurant owners, and local food personalities into a single collaborative publication
that celebrates the craft, creativity, and community that drive the city’s restaurant scene.

To date we have sold nearly 10k copies and are still on shelves in bookstores around Central Ohio,
and available online at Amazon, Walmart, and Barnes & Noble.
